Sense of Balance

Grown up to give more than receive,
Learned over half way here.
This needs to be balanced, mutual,
Reciprocated externally and internally,
Both are imperative to our whole
Well-being, but to give out,
We must give within.
Giving must be inner-directed,
Centered and applied to ourselves
First, every time, before dispersing.
Unlearning patterns,
Of dysfunction,
Through growing up,
We carve a new way of being,
A new way of loving,
A new way of thinking,
A new way of living,
A new life with all our senses,
And senses of being towards ourselves,
Towards all.
Through learning,
We become our own allies,
Unifying as we come together,
Even if our paths only merge for a bit,
Living separate lives, 
Going down different roads.
It's not like we really ever disconnect,
We just keep going, growing, becoming,
More and more intune, attuned, 
Having a common center.
Coming together and then leaving,
Remembering, forgetting,
Giving, receiving, 
in sublime ways and waves.
So it is, this becomes and is
Our life, growing through moments,
Days, weeks, months, years,
Recalling what is needed
For our balance,
To reclaim our hearts,
Our souls, our bodies, our minds,
Our peace, our light, our love,
Our service, our boundaries,
Our abundance.

We give to receive,
Ever changing,
Ever expanding,
Always growing us, mirrored.
